The last thing that anyone wants is for the dire Oneness idents to "Carry On" for any longer, though.

Night Kayakers has been lit nicely and has a very lovely water reflection to it. Tandem Cyclists, ...well, the less said, the better.

I would watch point of view today at 4 pm bbc1 it should feature a piece about the idents

Turns out it was just four people venting their frustration with them only for Jeremy to start talking about something on BBC Two. Not even a response from anybody at the BBC.

4 people in a room, giving their opinions of the idents.

EDIT: Already mentioned.

To be fair all 4 dislikes them and fully explain why we all hate them.

Blimey. I was expecting a response from the BBC. Still, the overwhelming negative appraisal has been conveyed here. Hopefully, a change is a-coming by the new year.

I'm assuming one of, if not both, of the following; either the BBC expected the negative backlash and tried to cover it up by having a monumentally small focus group and quickly moving onto a topic, and/or they're give so small a f*** about the matter that they got this group of people together for everybody to laugh and snigger at in a "don't you have more important things to worry about" approach and couldn't take it seriously enough to seek a riposte from anyone in charge of branding.

I prefer a third option - they understand how below average the whole thing is but, given the typical gestation period for such things, have already moved on to the development and planning of the next BBC One on air look.

Oneness will be a 2017 exclusive footnote.

Won't hold me breath.
