I really hate wearing those particular cans (shown in photo). Their shape I always found uncomfortable in use. Don't know why they were established as the industry standard.

I think the fact they are so rugged plus that they are modular and thus easily repairable has made DT100s industry standard, plus the ability to add volume limiters to mitigate hearing damage.

Some of the headbands on the ones I had available to use, in the facility houses I've worked in, had sellotape over splits in the leather!
