It's always on iPlayer for 24 hours, any longer and it starts getting very out of date. That's why they also have a website.

At least it's far more suitable for introducing the news, than seeing swimmers turning back their arses. Nice to see Forest back though (only since it's suitable for news programmes).

When your top story concerns a beach massacre, it's probably a wise decision not to use swimmers.

News was still introduced by a clock. There was also a lovely ident where the balloon was docked by a river, which was quite poignant and reserved in tone.

Forest already being used at the 10pm junction. I can surmise that it's related to the beach massacre, making Sea Swimmers unsuitable at this time.

I concur with this. Had they launched with a much plentiful set, Sea Swimmers wouldn't have ended up as the de-facto ident to carry into news programming - Mountain Rescue maybe would have been designated to do so. They only launched with two idents, and likely didn't even have a choice but to use Sea Swimmers.

It feels so wrong to lead it into the news - just far too lighthearted to air into serious programming.
