BBC Oneness - idents and presentation

I just surprised people are surprised CA are jack of all trades, this has been happening since day dot.

It's not that so much as a case of not everyone you doing an announcement is an announcer.

Actually, I think Crissell is now a presenter of South East Today, and that is what the OP was referring to.

...which I read as referring to the contents of the announcement, i.e. naming that presenter as the newsreader.

Yep, I mean the CA mentioning Ellie is badly done as the intonation is wrong. Although it does briefly distract me from the fact I'm looking at wrinkly swimmers.

I've never really seen the need to name check the presenters for a show half an hour later.

Most regions only namecheck the presenter who is doing the opt in the Six headlines (even though both pop up for the second opt part way through)

It's an integrated news hour isn't it, same reason why you get some headlines for a show half an hour later.

It's like seeing someone redecorate their house bit by bit with paint tester pots of different colours. All looks like a botched mess.

It further backs up the notion that there is absolutely no confidence in the 'Oneness' set of idents. Relics from the Circle package, Capes being used into an episode of Panorama, Forest being briefly elevated from Obit status, and the other two idents being rushed onto air...it shows. That hasty announcement from mid-December (albeit internal) clearly was the crux of rushing an unfinished, unpolished and unfit pres package to air.
