BBC Oneness - idents and presentation

Who's on continuity tonight on Network? It's a voice that I do recognise but then again I don't recognise. Could be from one of the nations possibly?

No, I think it's the same announcer who often appears on BBC2. He certainly sounds more formal than the others.

I always like his delivery, a nice change for BBC One.

Here's a very dodgy recording of his announcement into EastEnders that I took on my phone. It was a very old school announcement with a possible touch of Andy Cartledge.

It was a very refreshing change.... just a shame about the ident.

Yes, little bit old school isn't he? Maybe now they can ditch the bloke whose voice goes up and down all over the shop like a 60s Radio 1 DJ...

At least, at last, they've sorted out the presentation for the end boards for Question Time and This Week.

The Circles version of the BBC One HD regional news holding slide seems to have reappeared tonight, a mistake presumably.

Airing as of time of writing.
Has someone realised some sense? Because it's clear that some people aren't keen on the new holding slide that debuted along with the 'Oneness' idents.

But either way, it's just hammering on the notion that there is absolutely no confidence on this new set. Speaking of new idents, February is approaching, meaning that there could be some new Oneness idents.
