Noticed that through the 9am junction this morning they've decided to go back to the swimmers for news programming.

Forest, as drab and lifeless as with the rest of the current set, was far more suitable for serious programming. Why they'd go back to the swimmers is beyond me - its appallingly wrong.

Also questionable is how it was a good idea to air Exercise Class into the inauguration of Trump.

A trashy ident that lacks any class, quality or sophistication? I'd have said it was a perfect choice. Wink

Nice one! Laughing
The combination is fitting - the onerous years of a Trump presidency and the banality of Oneness. But seeing as it was a news programme, lead to my questioning to be honest.

Was probably a test.

A test to see just how dull these idents can possibly get.

The classic TV Forum response to anything unusual on-air. There are countless other reasons for such an occurrence.

Just saw a video of the end credits to Inside Out in another thread, which had a few seconds of the following junction attached, which included the ident into the 90 second update, which continues to use the music from that apartment block ident from the Circles era, whilst visually looking like the original Circles endboard! I notice the thumbnails on BBC One videos uploaded to YouTube are also circles endboard inspired - they're only a recent thing (I think they started adding them to videos at some point after the mini-presentation refresh in 2016) so god knows why they picked that particular design!

RadioTimes again on the 'oneness' idents. This time, the writer rips through more of the idea itself than the idents.

Perfectly acceptable for the president of one of the world's fattest nations! Laughing

Surely that exercise must be instrumental in keeping productivity up. Laughing

Only made this reference - as it was classified as a news programme.

Since February is not far away - we can see some new idents being added to the current set.

Swimmers "ident" into the episode of Allo Allo being shown as a tribute to the late Gordon Kaye ... another example of just how inappropriate these "idents" can sometimes be. That said, are any of them appropriate for things like this? I doubt it.

Yes it did look crass going into a tribute programme. with the words "A change to our schedule now on BBC 1 as we pay tribute to one of our best loved actors who sadly passed away on Monday....." over the damp arses heading into the grey waters of the Bristol Channel.
Although given the content of 'Allo 'Allo, maybe they can be forgiven.
