Indeed. TV Pres is trivial, but is no worse than being interested in knitting.

No worse than being obsessed with a bunch of overpaid men kicking a ball around Razz

If Screenwipe was still on, you can bet Charlie Brooker would've done a typically acerbic segment about these "idents".

Knowing him now he might be satirising the TV Forum reaction.
Seriously look out the window Trump, Brexit, Le Pen and here we have 127 pages of utter drivel about **** idents. I know this is a presentation forum but still......

Yes yes we all know politics is bad, thanks for reminding us. Ever had the thought that perhaps people come here to get away from the utter misery of real life?

There's something a bit strange seeing people discussing the banality of TV presentation of a forum dedicated to TV presentation.

As great as the COW is, I'd much rather see the BBC look to past pres packages and using them as inspiration for new ones, as I and other posters have said.

At least cows in a field staring at a camera for no reason would be a knowing nod to the past.

Or a combination of the circle and the globe - two symbols that have represented BBC ONE well. That would be a great combination.

How about a cow with its markings made to show a globe, dancing in a circle as a balloon goes by - and this all happens in front of a mirror... and the cow's wearing batwings and a watchstrap? Wink

Could be seen as a nod to all past eras before they give up on showing idents altogether in an attempt to save face, as the latest set are such an embarrassing flop Shocked

The concept of bringing the world to your corner of the UK was a good one for the balloon.

With all the wonderful things that happen on planet earth I wonder why that isn't re-explored but not with a balloon this time.

A drone doesn't quite conjure up the same romantic image...
