I'm eager to see the wider reaction on Twitter and the like - mainly negative to be fair, over the next few hours.
Why. Just why.

I honestly don't know what they expected other than it ending badly. They surely can't be that out of touch can they? This is just all so stupid and so BBC.

They might have thought:
BBC Creative: This looks great to show British life and BBC ONE as a whole!
Everyone else: ITS S**T

Didn't even realise that was an ident .
Thought it was another trailer and looked away before BBC1 appeared on it
So I was slightly puzzled that Graham Norton started without an ident but put it down to some technical problem since they had problems with the subtitles on MBB .
Meanwhile BBC One Scotland continues with Christmas trails and idents. Didn't they get the memo? Or are they simply boycotting this trash?
EDIT: apologies - although they aired Christmas trails, they did show the dancers into Graham Norton.

Be careful what you wish for!
I'm quite glad. 10 years was far too long and I'm glad we're getting something new and (probably dissapointing but) refreshing.

A symbolically bold, confident and ambitious look from a very different time and a very different BBC.
NI and Wales had the same, but please someone cap the Wales ident off the iPlayer if they can as the CA introduced them with the following:
"Mmm - no, I haven't got a clue either. I quite liked the balloons myself."

So true.

Mercifully there wasn't one of these 'home videos' into Breakfast at 6am, just an NC countdown.
I'm dreading 8:15, unless someone has seen sense, and the person who signed off this crap has already been sectioned.
The mind boggles as to why anyone thought that these were a good idea. It looks more like revenge for not getting a TVL increase.
