I can't believe I'm saying this, but these first two make the Christmas Day Oneness ident set look good.

In all seriousness, I don't think I'm exaggerating to say that the first Exercise one is quite possibly the worst BBC1 ident in all its history. Ever. I cannot think of a worse one. I really can't. I just have no more words.

I'd say they were awful, but awful is an understatement.

My sentiments exactly. I wonder how long this set will last. The tacky 'oneness' slogan is going to dry along with how **** the set is.

I'm having a field day with the s***show unleashed by Moore and BBC Creative.

Let's set up a petition to remove this tripe from our screens. A plain black slide with the BBC logo on it. ANYTHING but this cr*p.

The BBC has commissioned Martin Parr, one of Britain’s leading documentary photographers, to create 24 images and short films on the theme of “oneness”.

Anyone can make a static shot of a load of random people standing around.
0/10, awful

Let's wait until we see more in this set...

It'd be fine if they actually had the circles again but refreshed like the Xmas ones but Christ, this is like they've slapped the logo on stock footage.
Still wondering what the hell oneness means too.

As I've already said I could knock the same thing up in 10 minutes for free. Not the tens (if not hundreds) of thousands the BBC have likely spent on this crap.

We have only seen two of these, of course, but it does make me appreciate the production that goes into the ITV idents (which could also be argued as 'slapping a logo on some random footage' but is executed beyond that)

ITV's looks bland on paper, but I like the production values of the idents and one advantage that they do have is that the set continues to be fresh - with adding multiple new idents.
