Or a bunch of marketing graduates staring blankly at a flip chart with the words 'Brainstorming Ideas for new idents' sitting around a table in a boardroom..

"Right, so the theme is, it's like reknowned photographer Martin Parr is taking a photo, only he isn't, it's a video, so it's like you're posing for a photo, only you're not, so move around a bit and muck about, but not too much."
That's so awkward looking, the middle bloke crashing the chairs together and then looking at the camera, as much as to say 'is that alright, is that you wanted'

And, the This Week trail used the old 2016 fairy light circle end board. So, still inconsistent.
Who signs off BBC pres? The trail for Question Time not only had the circle animation on the BBC One logo during the trail, but it also had the old plain red circle motif endboard. With a cheap looking font. Why don't they check all these things?

The trailers for the life political shows are always in a world of their own, they just cobbled something together that looks almost right.
Like when the BBC News Channel or the BBC regions used to produce slides for Panorama or Inside Out and they would use the wrong logo, wrong font, capitals not sentence case, wrong colours etc etc. you'd expect better standards on network BBC1 though.

I feel like your signature sort of contradicts your point though. Those endboards are fully functional and almost identical bar a few elements.
