I can't see the music changing that much at all really. When they changed the studio I remember Huw Edwards saying that the music wasn't going to change because research had showed that people liked it.

Personally, I'm not particularly excited about new titles - if they're anything even remotely similar to the daytime summary titles and those blobby things on the screen during the 1, 6 and 10, which look mainly flat and anaemic, then it won't be an improvement. I think the current ones look quite good.

I don't think so - lets just hope they do nothing like the 'Coming up' slide, which looks awful without the yellow/orange.

I suppose I've just gotten sick of seeing the cream titles going into a studio which obviously wasn't designed for them, and a completely different logo being used on the screens. If they were still using the old cream studio I probably wouldn't be that bothered about them! Obviously this kind of thing won't matter at all to the general viewing public, but it bugs me! I don't think that the new titles will be too much like the logos currently shown on the projection screens - I'm pretty sure they were just quick mock-ups because the cream clashed with the studio.

I've heard that it's quite a dramatic change, but that's just someone's opinion, of course.

Will there be any graphic changes i.e new astons, modified backdrop?

Well this is good to finally hear... if I remember right it was only going to be a remix of the N24/World music for the rebrands in December, but look what that came up with!

I know there won't be a new studio, but I hope they change the backdrop, the fake newsroon is terrible. To be honest I can't, and don't watch BBC News anymore - it's too dated already.

Don't forget that they will probably update the graphics, including astons, and it will probably be bye-bye to Gill Sans, replaced with Swiss721, which News 24 and World use (meaning an end to old style graphics bleeding across to News 24 and World in report produced mainly for the news on BBC ONE). It will be intresting to see if the astons are basically a clone of the News 24/World graphics, or if they do something different.

Also, be intresting to see if the set changes. People have said that the virtual newsroom backdrop will change, at least one minor change will be the screensavers changing perhaps? Or a complete new backdrop to fit in with News 24. Or perhaps more changes to the set to make it fit in more with News 24.

So many questions...

Are you really that desperate to start your own thread? You did this with the "Regional News" thread days before the relaunch occurred. Very Happy

It could have but to be honest, it definitely warrants a thread of its own. These generic threads are pretty pointless apart from talking about 'minor' observations. Too many generic threads are a bad thing.

Yes exactly. Too often you miss vital bits of info because they're tucked away on page 106 of a generic thread!
