Animal Planet has revealed its new look.

I like the nod to the channel's first, Discovery Animal Planet, logo. It's a tad bland though.

It is a bit bland, isn't it? Discovery's channels used to have similar and recognisable logos, now they look totally different and odd for the sake of it. Can't say I'm a fan.

Why is it blue instead of green? Animal Planet has always used green branding.

In the US only so far, and it has shifted its programming to focus on "the paranormal, the unsolved, the creepy and terrifying"... oh hell.

Another US channel, Oxygen, recently changed format to crime/paranormal shows, so it appears they’re keen to copy their success.

That doesn't sound like travel at all - should've changed the name completely.
