This is a perfect example of what Geraint was talking about: The leaked images and news of BBC2's rebrand was just enough for the people at ITV to try and steal the Beeb's thunder.

In a sense its good for those of us who like new idents, but not so good for those who have tried to keep the launch a secret.

The BBC would have gotten away with it if it weren't for these pesky internet kids....

That new DOG looks AWFUL! It makes every programme look like a trailer!! Bring back the milkshake/lavalamp look-alike one!!

And here is a screenshot of the new break bumper, it's the ITV2 logo with various different words in the background, like 'excite', 'win', 'tingle', 'push' and most bizarre of all ....... 'splash ?????'
