New ITV1 Idents

Don't forget Rosemary & Thyme, which appears to be going out on Sundays & Fridays, with Felicity Kendal and Pam Ferris. Looks a bit Murder She Wrote-esque.

Yes I read about that too but forgot to mention it - I dont think i'll watch that as it isnt really my thing.

I might watch Sweet Medicine, as I enjoyed Peak Practice and its a simular series to that as its a replacement for it - I still dont know why Peak Practice ended on such a cliffhanger which was never resolved.

Can u please refresh my memory. How did Peak Practice end?

Its a bit like 24. They had a cliffhanger at the end of the last hour; surely the last episode is supposed to be a happy, 'well done' occasion?

Was Peak Practice axed whilst the last series was being recorded? If not, they may have presumed that another series would follow.

Rosemary & Thyme looks interesting. I'll have to watch it out of interest.

They have another programme later on in the season with Penelope Keith and June Brown. Im sure this was a murder programme too; though I may be wrong!

Sweet Medicine has that bloke (as the main character) that always reminds me of newsreader Chris Rogers.

Yeh, that looks really good. It's meant to be a take on Thelma Louise, Penelope Keith plays a posh woman and June Brown her housekeeper. They go on the run thinking they've killed a burgler.

You'd better watch out. That could be seen as libellous...

The final episode ended with Claire and Alex falling over a cliff and Tom being shot. We have no idea whether any of them lived but I think its unlikely Claire/Alex did.

Any news on good old Scottish & Grampian TV? Will they get any new home made idents, or any of the new ITV1 idents with Scottish/Grampian logo's instead?

Lets hope we have some new idents for Wales - as well as the Sian Lloyd one we need a new one with Lucy and Jonathan as Lucy has a different hair style now. Also one of Juliet Piper Justina SImpson and Tara Eugene, and one of Arfon Haines Davies, and one with the sports presenters.

I doubt will will get any though

With all this talk of new idents, does any one remember if these 2 old ones were ever on ITV1, and if so when as I have never seen them before?

Well the above one is Londons Burning which ended last summer before the ITV revamp so no I dont think that was used.

It makes you wonder why ITV make them, then dont bother using them. Have they got Money to burn?
