New ITV1 Idents

Here in Carlton for Central England (West) we have our house and were treated to a chris tarrant ident with different music to those i have downloaded from here, then the split screen with itv1 carlton on the left on top of the shiny blue squares.

Hmm... whilst I'm thinking of it - Tsk at no evident Johnathan Wilkes ident.

well as said, here on central television, we had chis tarrent split screen.

not the greatest ident in the world ever, but better than the last set, lets hope central haven't got a copy of martin kemp.

it'll be interesting to see if they're still using generic idents at six.

oh and central are cropping our house (which cut off the sponsor's web address) - not impressed, never seen central do this in the past.

Good point, only just realised. I wonder if they are meaning to do it, or whether its just a mistake!

I wonder why an old ident was played out on ITV1Wales.

Have they been using itv1 wales logos on all idents, or has it just been itv1. If not then it could be that they wanted the wales for a regional programmes, but didnt have a new version.

Oh I like that new ident into the news, with the yellow shiny squares. Very nice, best new ident in a long while.

All idents have contained ITV1Wales logos. In fact the logo is actually part of the formup on the celeb-less idents, instead of the Wales just fading in. This has caused problems on the yellow and black ident which was played before the 3pm news as it was obviously designed for the one tier logo!

Video of the new yellow generic ident - must say, I am a fan. Although the animation is a bit wishy washy it's nice to have a theme which is a little more beefy.

ITV1 Yellow Generic Ident

That's the ident which looks a bit iffy with the Wales logo. They've put the two tier logo in the squares. It looks something like this.
