New ITV1 Break Bumper

Yep, I noticed that as well - they seem have another one appearing here and there as well, it features what looked like two tall skyscrapers at either end of the screen. Reminiscent of Sky One...

I wonder if there will be idents and menu idents to go with these breakbumpers

There should be, a change of music is also needed.

The one that does that the most is the Ribbons ident, there are so many similarities between that and the 1996-7 Sky One look.

If I`m not mistaken the background looks like its been taken from the `unused` ITV idents....

It seems so, but if you compare the images together, the windows are slightly different. Perhaps the same idea, rather than same footage?

That's rather more likely. I can't imagine Bruce Dunlop Associates borrowing images from English Pockett (makers of the unused idents).

I think these breakbumpers are brilliant compared to the standard ribbons. These breakbumpers need to be made into idents as well, therefore bring ITV1 a bit more up to date.

They're a nice update to the current set.

ITV seem to be stuck in a rut, if you know what I mean. The current ITV1 idents were nice to begin with, now they just seem to repeat on you something awful. ITV1 needs a wide variety of idents, perhaps one batch on one day, another batch the next day, etc.
