ITV cans 'rubbish' pet show

An entire series of the ITV programme Animal Roadshow has been scrapped after bosses said it was "rubbish".

Twenty one-hour episodes of the show were made and they were due to be broadcast on daytime ITV1 later this summer.

The decision to scrap the show has cost ITV a small fortune. An ITV insider revelaed: "Animal Roadshow appeared to have the makings of a hit".

"But when the decision makers at ITV saw some of the episodes they thought it was rubbish."

The episodes were presented by Julia Bradbury, who previously co-hosted BBC1's Watchdog, and Richard Arnold from ITV1's Coronation Street Secrets.

Last night an ITV spokesman confirmed Animal Roadshow did not have a transmission date, but added "Just because a programme doesn't have a date, it doesn't mean it won't be transmitted."

The bosses must be daft. They call that rubbish, and they paid no attention to the programmes they have going still!

That last paragraph may be rather important! Things get put back all the time - one anonymous "ITV insider" rubbishing it does not mean it's been scrapped.

Oh wait, it's the Sunday Mirror. It must be true then.

Who are the big main ITV bosses? And if I was them, I would scrap all of this ITV DAY as most programmes are rubbish and the idents/ look is rubbish also.

Yep, just like their front page EXCLUSIVE two weeks before this year's Big Brother which revealed that 24 housemates would enter the house, with 12 of them living above the main house in an area called the "owl house".
