No, AFAICT it will be a seperate brand. All regions show regional idents BTW , Granada's last was an hour ago (just they way you said "if they show a regional ident"...)

Tell that to Londoners. Sad

He's right you know. But I wouldn't want to see London underneath the ITV1 logo as I hate the name. I find it controversal refering to it now as ITV London as there are already poor souls living in places like Surrey, North Sussex and North West Kent who have to watch it as it's their default regional setting even though the news is all London, London, London and it can p*ss off those living outside the Greater London Boundary.

Same as BBC London, although they try to be superior to London Tonight by reporting in different areas away from London even though this doesn't happen that much.

It's interesting to see that Robert Williams, owner of TV & Radio Bits is also against the idea of having areas outside the Greater London boundary being lumped into London. I second that motion as well.

London Tonight does sometimes mention areas outside London... well Southend on the odd occasion but surely they have Anglia?

Yep that's right, it happens once in a blue moon and I bet they're better off watching Anglia even though it's possible to watch Meridian as well from Southend.

There was also a *cough* local programme rarely shown on a thursdays on ITV Lond- I mean Carlton Twisted Evil that was sometimes critised for being set in the open countryside right outside London.

One episode I saw was about the coastal town of Burnham-on-Crouch that was about 35 miles from London (Crystal Palace TX is only supposed to go under 30 miles) and it was much farther than Southend.

When I looked on the map of where the town is located, I was thinking "Would they all be watching Anglia and not notice that their little town is appearing on a regional programme from ITV London?"

I can only recall three "local" programmes on Carlton London : - The Tube (which is obviously going to have a big London bias), A programme that Suggs from Madness did bu tthe name escapes me

And the one you mention was originally known as Carlton Country, I did often wonder why they featured places nowhere near London or the surrounding catchment areas
