I say itv should resurrect Blockbusters. I know it will be part of the gameshow marathon, so hopefully if it is successful they will resurrect it. It would be ideal in the 3.30pm slot.

I saw the pilots for both of these, I can safely say they're probably going to bomb.

I auditioned for Show Me the Money, which was originally mooted as one of the two pilots (with For the Rest of Your Life).

It was, erm, dreadful. I hope Golden Balls is better.

Amusingly I quite enjoyed Show Me The Money, although the questions needed to be a lot harder, or multiple choice. the Italian version of the show seems to be the most successful, and doesn't even bother with questions at all! Also, Dale Winton threw a minor queenie strop towards the end of the recording when most of the audience had gone home, which is always amusing.

Golden Balls is basically Stud Poker with cash amounts, ending with the Prisoner's Dilemma. The game is rather uninteresting to watch, but the big ball machine that dominates the studio is rather neat. Goodness knows why Jasper Carrott is hosting it.

Laughing It sounds like we are going to have to stick with going wild in the aisles or to "come on down". I wish ITV would come up with some fresh or original quiz shows-- although I am waiting for the return of Blankety Blank Wink

Good idea, although a 5pm slot would be better.

" Golden Balls "? I don't know wheter to Laughing or Rolling Eyes at that title!

It almost as unbelievable as when the gameshow title " Shafted " actually made it to air! As if Kilroy isn't generally an embarrassment to humanity anyway, that title was obviously devised with the sole intention of making him look as big a fool as possible...

I remember that quiz show. Wasnt it axed mid series? Not that I ever watched as I cannot stand Kilroy.

Come to think of it, the Endomol producers told me that these shows were commissioned for primetime, but I see that they have been pushed back to daytime.

Probabaly because most primetime slots are filled with soaps, drama and reality tv (apart from Tonight and regional programmes) so no room in primetime.

Shame Dale having a strop isn't on You Tube!

Jasper's never hosted a quiz show has he, but obviously he was part of Celador, which was the home of 'Millionaire'.

I will tune in on Monday just to see what its like but doubt I will be a regular viewer - it clashes with Neighbours for a start!
