Yeah, exactly....Greg Dyke started too many long-term, EXPENSIVE plans....
So had Nigel Pickard at both CiTV and CBBC before he was tempted to switch both times. So had Kevin Lygo at Channel Five. The waving of a cheque and the prospect of a fresh start can do wonders sometimes.

It's awfully hard to take the plans of these Execs seriously when they treat the door to their office as a revolving door... .
And it clearly shows that there's no real long-term planning going on. So I would have to agree that ITV Marketing guru would probably be a favoured candidate.
Still...the notion of Alastair Darling running the BBC (if not ITV) is highly amusing. Imagine how many heads would roll in the first hour of his first day?

I think it is a distinct possibility that Nigel Pickard's position might be questionable in 6 months time or so.
Recently, he has already buried around 3 or 4 new dramas without trying them out in other popular timeslots, he justs moves them to graveyard slots to finish out. This could well continue into the Winter and Autumn seasons. Will the management of ITV plc take kindly to that wasting of money?

Would have thought it might be before then , advertisers and shareholders very disgruntled about current performance.
