The X Factor DVD Game is now out. Strangely, it's being presented by ITV2 host Fearne Cotton instead of Dermot O'Leary.

Yes but I was talking about the first interactive DVD game.
I wasn't. I was talking about CD-ROM games which pre-dated DVD games by a good few years.
Why stop there - what about board game versions in a box which pre-date cd-roms even further!!

Basically, it looks like you're one of the judges (in auditions, boot camp, etc.), and it includes music trivia questions. This is the Amazon description (source: http://www.amazon.co.uk/X-Factor-Interactive-DVD-Game/dp/B000U754CW/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1195773759&sr=8-2)
Product Description
The best interactive DVD Game from the best talent show The X Factor! This is a music and X Factor trivia game to test all ages and decide: have you got what it takes? This DVD is packed with auditions, the judges' most memorable moments, unseen footage and is great for music and X Factor fans alike. It includes clips from all 4 series. Fearne Cotton (The Xtra Factor host) brings the game alive and makes you feel like part of the show every time you play! The interactive quiz tests your skill as a judge in the Auditions and then takes you through to Bootcamp, the Judges' Homes, the Live Shows and, if you're good enough, The Grand Final. The aim of the game is to score points in Rounds 1-3 and then reach The Grand Final in Round 4. Answer questions correctly and you stand a chance of winning a fantastic prize including backstage passes to The X Factor Live tour 2008!
Synopsis

I bought the Catchphrase game yesterday, I've only played bit of a single player game but it differs from the original DVD game in that the catchphrases are played out in full before being revealed (unlike the original where you had to press a button on the remote when you thought you knew it), when you, of course have to select if you got it right or not. Will try a multiplayer game tonight.
Oh, and incase anyone was wondering, the title music is from the TVS era, although the catchphrases themselves (and the music played during them) are from the later Roy Walker eps.

I have that! OK I don't have the original box but all the question cards, tiles and other paraphernalia are intact.

Out of all of them I can imagine that Catchphrase works the best as the format of the show was obviously visual. How does multiplayer work though, as you obviously couln't buzz in over and over 'keep pressing and guessing' like you could on the TV show
How does Bullseye work, as you obviously can't throw darts at the TV

It works on that basis but with computerised dartboard and darts. You guide the dart by pressing select on the remote when it hits where you want it.
