Carlton says it wont change HTV to Carlton HTV because the Welsh would get upset? Whatever that means! Never mind the Welsh, I live in Bristol and I would be upset. I'm very proud of my region!

Does this mean the font for ITV will change also. I hope so as the old IT* looked much better:D

I doubt ITV would use Gill Sans for nationwide promotion and cover all their trailers/idents in Gill Sans - - mainly 'cos BBC channels have been doing that since 1997!

Tonight with Trev mcdee's special programme had MICHAEL BARRYMORE in gill sans, or it was very similar!

May I point out here that Gill Sans was widely used on ITV trailers (in London anyway) throughout the 1990s - before the BBC 1997 relaunch.
It has been Carlton's font since 1993, and has been used by LWT around the same period. I have a number of tapes from the early 1990s with Gill Sans used on generic ITV network promotions.

Yes as Mike G says there would be little point in Yorkshire having itv.com/yorkshire because it leads to the Yorkshire Television corporate site. That site is just about the company, it doesn't tell you about any programming, doesn't link to any programme information or contain any regional news. I doubt it would be of any interest to the general public.

Well thats probably a mistake by ITV. Does itv.com/border will go to that non border tv site? If they start advertising that it will be great, something for aunties bloomers, or Dennis Borings Cheap Clips 89.
