Well the new Crossroads is quite different to the original. Crossroads was brought back to replace Home & Away which had a young audience and ITV wanted to keep those viewers. So the new Crossroads has a predominantly young cast with a couple of the old originals to please the die-hard fans.

Andrew the new hearts on Yorkshire were shown after the generic ITV end credits that you are referring to.

I've also seen a different slide at the end. There's a website one with green bars and www's (no hearts) which is often seen at the end of Emmerdale. This has probabaly been mentioned before.

With regards to GMG logos, could it not be difficult for them to be different in different regions? As we now know, the secret is out - the same announcer introduces programmes for Granada, Yorkshire and Tyne Tees AT THE SAME TIME ( except at junctions when prerecorded announcements are made ) from Leeds.
If all three stations had very different logos would it be possible to synchronise voice over / music for all three with just one announcer? Also, has anyone else noticed that here in ' Granadaland ' we are hearing ' Now on Granada ' or ' Your watching Granada ' a little more often than of recent even on networked programmes. I believe we get the announcements live but YTV and TTTV are pre-recorded.

Possibly, but I'd assume that Yorkshire would get them live seeing as they are announced in Leeds. As for the announcing in the different regions being difficult, I imagine that all of the different regions will have variations of the same ident if there is a new one coming. They managed with different ones before, however, because we had 'Now on ITV' way before the generic idents.

Tyne Tees - get rid of the generic ident, the logo is out of date
Yorkshire - use the local ident, but edit it to have the channel name on it, not just the chevron, a la Grampian 1998.
Granada - generic logo is wrong colour, based on 1987 ident, so re-edit, or get rid!
Anglia - new endcap (UNM logo is on it), and perhaps a fully fledged new ident, no flag, but keeping the triangles design from the 1985 ident.
Meridian - get rid of generic, background colour of sun logo is wrong. Also new endcap. (see Anglia)
LWT - new endcap to match current ident
Central/Westcountry - regional identities restored
Scottish/Grampian - return of Thistle/St Andrews Cross logos.
Channel - return to pregeneric logo, it only lasted 6 months!
Border - bring back the chopsticks B!
Ulster - satisfactory
Carlton London - completely different to Central/Westcountry
HTV - lose generic, because everyone else needs to.

On the subject of YTV's LiveLunch, this seems to be a replacement for Tonight except at lunchtime. Does anyone know if Tonight will ever return at 5:30pm or is that it for good ? Also, will Christine Talbot be returning to Yorkshire (she's currently presenting on Wellbeing).
