No, they were relaunching it, hence the tyne tees style trailer..
However, I was talking to someone who works for Yorkshire and he said that the producers were not happy with it and decided to start again.
So expect a proper new look sometime soon.
Talk about last minute !! Doesn't months of work go into these designs before launch. To release a trailer the week before expected relaunch date, and then to pull the whole thing entirely is just unbelievable or is this normal practice ?
But they didn't show it at all after You've Been Framed later on.

Cheers square eyes.
I'll be honest, the advert for Granada Tonight did look a bit crap. I don't blame them for pulling the plug on it, but what happened to the studio that they must have built? Isn't it lucky that the current one wasn't converted for something else straight away?
It is after the programme yeah.
Apparently the relaunch had been planned to conincide with the launch of Lunchtime Live.
Each GMG region is getting it's own Lunchtime Live you see.
But they scrapped it at the last minute because they didn't want to have the look that they were going to have for another 3 years!
It is not normal practice to change plans at the last minute, but to be honest I think that Granada had orignally wanted to return the Reports branding, and they didn't, so they decided to cancel the lot and start again.
I have seen it twice.
After Emmerdale, and after Corrie.
It may well be a prime time thing.
Only the most popular programmes get it, like that stupid little bar on the end credits.
Yeah, I've heard about these. AFAIK Meridian don't yet have them and instead have coming next clips for Emmerdale and Corrie where the hearts are rotating in the background and in the top-right screen (taking up most of the screen) are Corrie/Emmerdale characters from various episodes. They did used to have the Meridian logo fade up and down on the bottom left side but this practice seems to have stopped.

Hmm, I agree. I don't think we'll see it until before Crossroads tomorrow at 1pm now. Bugger!
Doesn't This Morning have them?
I am sure it does!

Crossroads is being axed - again!
According to reports, audience figures have plummeted to just under 1 million. In a last ditch bid by ITV, they are killing off one of its main characters to try and boost ratings.
I think ITV are being to hasty. Give Crossroads another few months, it might improve. BBC were too quick to axe Eldorado in 1992, which I'm sure if it had been able to continue, it would be a hit by now.
