So I guess it was the last Granada Tonight today (no full show tomorrow) Did they mention at the end of the programme about the change of name and look etc ? Please report any news on the new look here, or how you think it will look.

I wil be watching as Granada never seem to have quite got their news right, but if its as good as its sounds then it might be something worthwhile. A desk has got to be there, its just not right to present a whole news programme from chairs!

Although, Granada has nothing to do with me down here in the Midlands, I'll still be rotating my aerial to Winter Hill (88 Miles away) just to check up on what Granada is doing. The joys of an aerial rotator!

All of next weeks TV guides say that it is still called Granada Tonight. What's going on?!?! I heard the announcer say Granada Reports on Thursday, but what else have we got to say that that is what it will be called? No mention on Thursday's show either, even though it's got a new time slot, which was surprising.

TRAILER.
The trailer says it is to be called Granada TONIGHT.
So they must have changed their minds
It was reports on Thursday and now it is Tonight.
BTW the trailer is horrible it sounds cheap and looks it.
Wonderful.

Totally agree.

FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!
Like the blue squares, though. I don't think it will disappoint.

By the way, do you think it looked a bit too much like North East Tonight (Tyne Tees)?

Way too much like NET.
It even had the floodlight flash they use for NET.
I just hope the set is better. It looks like the ran out of money for NET.
Not sure... hope it will look good.

Fingers crossed, however, that they use the design for other things as well, eg. weather. Also, am I right in thinking that the top of the screen at the end had the smoky hearts image? I can't remember, I realised after. I'll have to look out for it again.

Now I think that would be asking a bit too much!

I haven't seen the trailer (yet) but from what you are all saying, it looks pretty good. It seems to me that other GMG stations get the better deal and Granada is always ledt with nothing. (ie no in-vision weather presenter, no local idents etc.)

Its about Granada pampered themselves, if you excuse the phrase!

Tomorrow is the big day for Granada Tonight / Reports, as I am not in that region, can somebody please report on new set / idents, and whether you get a weather presenter on here.
