Please explain how the continuity for that would work?

There could just create some new links?:

CHM recorded links especially for BBC World / BBC Prime showings.

Just had a thought. Is this the first thing Evans has presented that isn't live?* I know he supposedly wanted to do it live, maybe because he's better that way?

*his Sunday night chat show, was that?

I believe that OFI Sunday was live though the Christmas/last episode seemed pre recorded.

Didn't TFI have to be recorded following Shaun Ryder's 6pm appearances?

Yes it did, but it it was done 'as live'

RTE showed it in a 70 minute slot on Sunday.

I wonder what sort of ratings it got though, given over two-thirds of their potential viewership (and really, likely to be far higher in terms of Top Gear's target audience) could have simply watched it 30 minutes earlier without adverts on BBC Two.

Well, off the top of my head, you could argue that most of the Zig and Zag 'The Crunch' inserts during The Big Breakfast were pre-recorded, but suppose (to destroy my own contribution) it was shown 'as live'.

The only other totally pre-recorded show he did, which felt the vt editors scissors, was 'Tee Time' for Channel 4.
An odd little series which was him and one of his mates playing a round of golf.
Presumably that was commissioned on the grounds of contract forefillment.

On his radio show last week he mentioned that he wanted to record the show as live. At the first recording the warm up told the audience that it would be recorded as live but didn't tell the presenters. So that element could change for the second episode.

I think it was delayed rather than recorded in the stricter sense though I may be wrong. So it was shot as-live but TX-ed with a delay? (Much easier to do on a commercial show as the ad breaks give you turnaround points)

In the weeks following the Shaun Ryder incident there was a delay (quite a long one though, I've heard as much as a half hour delay) but for later series it was recorded as-live at 3pm. Meant that if the guests said anything naughty it could be edited cleanly for 6pm but kept in for the late-night repeat.

Didn't the last OFI Sunday go out at like 11:45pm on a Friday Night, between Christmas and new year?

And because of that Shaun Ryder ended up on the Channel 4 guidelines ( one of the only people to do so) and it was made clear he was banned for all LIVE TV.

I think it was eventually lifted given he was a great on the series last year.
