TG walk a very fine line between believability and making their tasks look completely staged. The trucks task was just far too obviously staged for me to enjoy.

I agree that this stunt was overly staged,

"oops the nissan micra accidently fell out of Hammonds trailer."

However I still found the task very amusing and overall a great start to the series.

It was a comedy set piece involving three blokes larking around with HGVs, gaining a new respect for them, giving me an insight into how difficult HGV driving is....

...all in all I'd say it was a good hook to get new viewers.

Loved the first episode and i have to say it just shows what a hard job truck drivers have and i have more respect for them now than i did.

The Daily Mail should just stop complaining for once, ive stopped buying it now because ime fed up with the BBC bashing. Clarksons comment may have been a bit over the top but everyone that i know that watchs TG knows it was only a joke and its his sense of humour.

You actually read it? Not because you found it funny, but you properly read it?

I'd rather wipe my backside on the Daily Star than that middle class piece of tripe. (rant over)

That was hardly a rant, was it? Wink

I am fed up of every little thing that is said on a programme being taken completely out of context, these people need to grow up!
