In the first episode, I loved that they refered to their UK counterparts in the Shark challenge, and of course the Clarkson corner. Yet to see the other episodes, but to me if already feels like Top Gear.
The first episode had its jitters, the seconds and thrid episodes were way better (and hilarious), everyone is starting to relax and the show is beginning to find its (rather expensive) feet.

I've got to say, I disagree. I've actually found that I'm progressively more disappointed with each subsequent episode. I appreciate that the Aussie team faces a difficult challenge trying to create something that's as entertaining as the British original - but the truth is, TG Australia simply isn't in the same league. Based on what I've seen so far, I don't think I'll keep watching.
It would have been different if they at least tried to do a bit of their own thing but the way it is now, you can't really stop comparing it to the UK version. And it certainly comes off second-best - the older guy who I'm presuming is meant to be Clarkson isn't bad, but the other two are pretty annoying.
Which is a pity because I'm pretty sure TG Australia is one of the most expensive local shows SBS has ever made.
This just shows how difficult it is to replicate TG's success. It's not just about challenges, it's about the chemistry of the hosts. You can't buy that or create it,it just happens.
Well, from watching the NTA last night, I found out that The Stig had a sense of humour. Did anyone notice Mr Stig laughing when the man was reading the message out.
I also think he could keep the bow tie for doing the Power Laps if he's in a James Bond Style car.
Doesn't. The TG logo looks horrible on that blue background, the background picture is horribly compressed and blocky, and the video boxes aren't aligned with the boxes underneath. Yuck!
God I was PMSL at the whole Lorries thing, and Ouch at Clarkson right at the end, I bet that was painful.
Great first episode, the rest of the Series looks good too, we get to see The Stig's Communist Cousin, also a good chat with Parky thrown in for good measure.
