Indeed so, but when I caught the end of the episode the other night, the joke had been cut out.

To be fair Dave seem to be cutting down on Top Gear at the moment, same with Whose Line is it Anyway. They showed the US special today, I have it on DVD, but it has me in histerics when they have to drive off from the Petrol station in Alabama. Laughing

Well you could always apply for tickets for a recording of the show, but there is an estimated 21 year waiting list.

Meh .. if you're young, blonde and top-heavy just apply for a job as a runner. Then just stand there all day with the other forty young, blonde, top-heavy runners.

The second i saw the Dave jokes on Top Gear i guessed they'd be cut, just so they don't have to make different versions for any international station who wants to buy the episodes.

That petrol station bit is hilarious, but didn't they cut the best bit from it on Dave? The bit where the yokels chase the camera crew and they have to shut down the cameras? Laughing

Yes, they have a huge chase through a storm in the uncut version ('I never thought I'd do this but I'm running for the border'). In the Dave version the storm is non-existent.

That bit was on! They even kept in the blank screen bit where you could only hear what they were saying on their Radios, after the Alabama folk were launching at the camerc crew.

I think that it was re-edited, as I'm sure the first time I saw this episode on Dave it had been cut, however it's since appeared in more recent showings.

Yup it was definitely cut the first time i saw it. Another bit which was cut was the cow falling off the top of Clarksons car. Has that been reinstated?

Yes, I also saw this episode last night (in hysterics I was) and the cow does fall off the car.

Anyone know when Series 12 is due to start? TG Mag states Oct 26th but Radio Times begs to differ Confused.

In other news, the TopGear.com site has had a bit of a Metropolesque makeover. Very nice.

Anyway, the upshot is that Top Gear was going to be back on 26 October but then there turned out to be some sport on or something and as a result the new series will now start on Sunday 2 November.
