Unlike previous years, the full range of Nationwide league regional programming is kicking off in the first week of the new season

Soccer Sunday returns on Sunday 10th August at these times in your region

12.30pm - Granada, Border, Yorkshire, Tyne Tees
13.15pm - Anglia, Carlton Central, Westcountry, HTV West, ITV1 Wales

Not showing on ITV1 London, Meridian or Channel

Soccer Night Now coming under a consistant name in each region (except in the Westcountry who are calling theirs West Country Match and HTV Wales and West who call it Soccer Special) also appears at these times during the first week, with highlights from the Carling Cup 1st round

Tuesday 12th at 11.30pm - Anglia, Meridian, Channel, West Country
Wednesday 13th at 11.50pm - Yorkshire, Tyne Tees, HTV West and Wales
Thursday 14th at 11.30pm - Granada, Border

ITV1 London and Central are showing other regional programmes on the Thursday

On the Tuesday everyone else is watching Crossing Jordan and on Wednesday everyone else is showing LA Dragnet, and then on Thursday your region is showing which ever programme you will have missed out on

And finally, whatever the game you'll always know the score, Scotsport returns on Sunday 10th August at 6pm on Scottish, Grampian and of course Border Scotland

Think the regional Sunday programme needs a more regular slot. Think most of last season it was around 2pm, but ranged from 12.30 through to around 6pm, and even after 11pm.

My preference would be to see the Sunday repeat of The Premiership axed and have Soccer Sunday extended to an hour to also include extended highlights from local premiership matches (and probably a full round up of the Premiership goals).

I dont undrestand why they repeat the premiership on a sunday morning. It was ok for BBC One to do it as they had the 6-9:25 slot to use that itv1 just dont have!

Id like to see the repeat on itv2. They could also do extra programming such as the premiership on monday old style with an audience on itv2 too!

Because there is a decent sized audience for it at that time. There are a substantial number of football fans who are out on a Saturday night that don't catch the evening show. It's also useful for kids who can't stay up that late.

Is their such a big audience for it?

The thing is though that when this is showing they neglect their responsibilities towards CiTV and show less CiTV because of it; and they have responsibilities to show religious programming; and those regional newsweek things; then regional football; the list goes on.

Don't forget GMTV shows kids shows!
I think this should be the schedule:
9.25 CITV
10.00 Premiership
11.00 religion

At present, the football seperates CITV from GMTV Kids, which means CITV would lose viewers!
