So Sport Today will come from its nice studio, but will WBR also come from there? The normal 15 minute WBR's on BBC WORLD are usually just one presenter at the BBC WORLD desk.
So, the 5am bulletin is changing to the 'World Today' but what will follow it? Will it be WBR, Sport Today or both? Also, will News 24 be taking the back half hours as well?

Oh God dammit when will World ever get two presenters. I'm absolutly fed up with watching Lindsy Brancher working her way on her own through a bullitain. BBC World needed a total revamp.
NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The reason that they join N24 is that they could still present from the desk, but you'd hear builders wouldn't you?
Do you understand?
The real reason World are with N24 is not because of builders, but for technical reasons.
World are the first BBC News studio to get new 'Multi-Domaining' kit installed. Basically ripping out the existing automation system and associated equipment, and replacing with new kit which will allow the video servers from one studio to talk to the others seemlessly. While this work is carried out, N9 is incapable of operating.

Does this mean doing a World/News 24 bulletin from say, TC7, is very straightforward, because they can just load all the stories in there - or is that quite complex because TC7 does not have Columbus and the other automation systems? (it may well have them for all that I know, but I'm just guessing).
It's easy in some respects, but difficult in others.
TC7 does have Columbus, but not the same set-up as N8 or N9 in that it does not talk to the vision mixer but only the video servers. So any effects such as wipes or 'coming up' have to be done manually
They had to call in people to operate the graphics playout equipment.
TC7 shares its server with N24, so it has all the material available to it.
So really not that difficult, just needed a bit of forward planning and a few more hands

Sorry I got a bit angry there, I just kind of feel that World is kind of quiet on the presenter front. I don't mind the idents etc.. it's just the studio that bothers me the most.
All I want is a studio that is as good or near as news 24's, true they only do half hour bullitains and so they don't need the news 24 look, but I do feel that the two sides behind of the news desk should be brought in line and made to look generally better thats all. And about the presenters, they should have two at key times of the day (this could be a little hard though as the channel broadcasts to so many different time zones)
Apart from that everythings fine.
I think BBC World have their own screensaver! I've just been watching World Business Report, and you can see on their computers the large BBC World News logo. Can anyone confirm this?
Gary.

Yes they do I noticed a few weeks ago, I thought it was still at first but then I noticed the rings emitting from from the centre, just like in the main opening titles.
