Yes that was really nice. Shame there wasn't an 'in memory of Stan Richards' caption at the end but good nonetheless.

It's pretty unusual for any soap to dedicate an episode to the passing of a character in quite the way they did on Emmerdale. To dedicate it to the actor would have been unneccessary in my view.

I agree, but it was a very moving episode. The music was very nice at the end (I hope someone has captured it) and so nice not to have announcers or an ECP.

Yep, the end of Tuesday's ep was very nice indeed, very moving with Betty's eyes filling up as the music played.

Ah but Sir, they did when Brian Mosely (Alf Roberts) died in Corrie. Wink

They did, and they also have a plaque outside the enterance to Granada Manchester Studios for Brian, as well as Pat Phoenix, Vi Carson and Doris Speed. I think Stan Richards and Richard Whiteley should have one at YTV.

Tonight at 7.30pm there is a tribute called Farewell Seth.

And what a tribute it was. Needed to be longer than half hour I thought. Was nice to see how close the actors were to Stan. When Richard Thorp talked about when he said goodbye and touching his coffin, brought a lump to my throat. Sad

Yes it was a lovely tribute. Nice to see so many old clips as well

It was a very moving tribute. It was nice to see how well he was liked amongst his colleagues at YTV. They also played the piano version of the theme at the end, and out of respect didn't do an announcement or ECP.

Just shows you that ITV can be sensitive at times. Shocked

Robin Taylor at UTV unfortunately talked over the end theme.

"Shorry Mishter Turner? Very Happy "
"You'll have to remove those teeth Seth - they look terrible!" Laughing

RIP Stan.

Nah, I do'nt like it - it's rubbish, they should have kept the origonal font and added the cast to the opening titles. That would have been much better. ITV have ruined it at the end with their on - screen caption where they advertise the next show or what's coming up on ITV....
