New DOI Logo

Has anyone seen the new Dancing on Ice Logo on the official ITV Website. It's awful.

I'm not sure what to make of it. I think Grade is trying to kill off Dancing on Ice because he doesn't like copycat shows although I think Dancing on Ice is much better than Strictly Come Dancing.

Why is that awful? What don't you like about it?

That might not even be the logo - it might just be for ITV.com

However, I fail to see what is wrong about it, as they have just changed the colours, do you care to tell?

It's very theatrical as logos go. Stylistically it looks just right.

The fact that it isn't just some text from 1001fonts.com mean it may be unpalatable to younger folk but to me it looks quite fitting.

It definetly has the Sunday night feel. Unlike the previous logo, which suited Friday or Saturday nights.. colour wise.

This is the real logo for use on the programme, not just ITV.com.

I'd imagine it was a grab from the opening titles, or onscreen graphics.

I've made my mind up. The last one was right for a Saturday night but may not have really worked on a Sunday night. Someone mentioned earlier in the thread that the new logo is more suited to a Sunday night and I couldn't agree more.

The new logo suits the "new look" perfectly and it is very glossy, winterish and showbiz which all suit the image of the show.

I've decided I like it. I prefer the old one but I do like this one.

It's a little over-the-top, but all these reality shows are.

Who cares about the logo? Who are the contestants? I'm really looking forward to this. Sat night tv is pretty dull at the mo.

And it will be for the foreseeable future (at least until Doctor Who), for DOI is on Sunday this year
