Sorry, the Nightly Show thread is in the next office.
I'm surprised this god forbidden programme hasn't been axed yet.

Nobody is forcing you to watch it. Many people, including myself enjoy this programme.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the current version of the Countdown theme tune has been in use since 1996, getting on for 21 years now. Wonder if they'll ever record another version of it.
Filming at the mo at MediaCityUK. Looks like the whole show including titles are getting a revamp.

I love what this photo from Twitter shows, which is the Countdown conundrum board - amazing that they still have a physical prop and get someone to turn it by hand!

Since this logo was introduced then?
And the current logo (letter tiles in front of the clock) has been in use since 2001 as well, when Richard Whitely was still alive and presenting the show.

Indeed. The theme tune and clock music had its first major change to my knowledge in 1989 (the titles used from 1991 with this arrangement can be seen here). Then in 1996, along with those titles you posted above, they introduced the current arrangement of the theme tune and updated the clock music by "jazzing it up". This was only short lived and they soon returned to the 1989 arrangement of the clock music, which is still in use today as far as I can tell.
There was also a period in 2001 where they, I presume accidentally, reverted to the previous version of the theme tune, as can be heard here: https://www.tvwhirl.co.uk/play?id=2270
