Interesting could be another games channel or Pre-school kids channel?

It's going to be a gambling channel alá Quiz Call, it has been rumoured that ITV Play would launch sometime in 2006, though AIUI this channel isn't going to be on Freeview, Sky and Cable ate to get it.

Oh FFS, better not be on Freeview, that's all it flippin' well needs.

There's no space on Freeview. If there was the ITV News Channel would still be on air.

The current Quizmania overnight is probably just testing the water, I expect this will stop once ITV Play launches

This was a 'channel' on DTT towards the end of ONdigital and the beginning of Freeview.... it was essentially just a (very slow) MHEG based epg with NTL branding. IIRC NTL were planning on marketing DTT boxes and this was to be part of it

I thought so.....it was only a joke u know I was only commenting on the proliferation of channels for my ethnic buds. I thought afew would find it amusing.........

So, what's still broadcasting on channel 824 on Sky then? Looks and sounds like Abu Dhabi in the idents to me.

It may now be uplinked from outside the UK, if it is indeed the same channel you refer to.

Has the new ITV children's channel been given a licence yet?

I know the launch has now been delayed a month - it wouldn't surprise me at all if ITV forgot about it all together and gave the slot to ITV Play.

I bet if ITV Play performs well on Sky / Cable ITV will do everything they can to get it a slot on Freeview - something they just couldn't be bothered to do with the ITV News Channel.


P.S. Do I need to ask what "Bang TV" is?
