Did anyone see the Channel 4 ident in to Oasis: Live from Manchester at 2310. Was it a new ident or just one that I have never seen before? It had a black background with like neon lighting and ended with a blue neon 4.
Also, who is the announcer on Channel 4 tonight - he sounds very familar?
From what has been described above. It seems to be being used anytime there's music coming up on 4 and they wheel that out. Isn't there going to a music channel soon in the downtime of E4?

Yeah, Alien and Motorway are definately not new - they've been around since the relaunch.
In terms of this 'new' ident, it sounds like it's similar to those fantastic trails going out for 4Music on the Channel 4 website (there has actually been one for said Oasis concert over the past couple of days) so maybe a new look 4Music and an ident to go with?
And here's me thinking Channel Four was the least likely of the terrestrial channels to add a new ident to the set at this time.
I shall keep my eyes peeled.
They're not really new idents to the usual set, they're special 4 Music idents which will probably also be seen on E4 when they start their daytime music service.
