Well the new Newsround studio has appeared for the first time:

Just a change of studio, same titles & graphics being used as before.

I believe though the system behind the scenes generating these has changed. Good by BigTed, hello Mosart.

And a big improvement for the CBBC channel bulletins over the previous green screen setup. Cameras a lot better too - always a bit fuzzy/blurry before.

I presume that the idea is to move the programme to Manchester without much change for the viewers, though it's a shame that they haven't created a different studio now that they're now longer under the constraints of the TVC barco sets.

I do like the new studio, it seems a lot smaller.

It seems a bit of a step down really - old fashioned projection cubes (or LCD/LED screens?) and a very small, dull space. TC7 looked much nicer!

Bit harsh to say it's got that "temporary studio" look about it? Not particularly impressive, even if they were constrained by having to tie it into the existing look.

Although not billed as so, the BBC One Newsround bulletin's graphics & studio links definitely looked hd quality, though the screens especially with their strong lines between them didn't look great on screen.

Yes I thought the same, was surprised when looking at the EPG that it didn't have HD listed because it certainly looked it to me.

Which highlights the stupidness of the whole thing.

I agree. The barco screens have been used for a few years now, it would be nice to see something a bit different.

Yup, it should be HD on BBC One - it's HD all the way from the studio to the Broadcast Centre.
