Newsround and CBBC pres sharing a studio sounds interesting - how does that work with Newsround on BBC1 and CBBC channel pres? Are there two galleries so Newsround can rehearse during programmes etc?

Interesting how its sort of like CITV used to be, with the cameras swinging round to the central news set.

Last link from Television Centre was broadcast at 10:00am (pre-recorded). The first bit is a sketch from the summer, so the goodbye bit starts at 1 minute and 38 seconds.

First set of links from the new office are with Chris and Hacker at 7:25, 7:45 and 8:20am tomorrow morning.

Don't think the CBBC channel will be doing the playout of the long-form programmes - suspect for any live-pres they will be a source into RedBee in London - and that they'll mainly be pre-recording?

Expect they'll schedule pre-recorded pres around the Newsround requirements to avoid a clash if there are live pres links.

Possibly haha! Although the one in the picture still has the original backrest - before it was reshaped Wink

I like the new office. It seems a lot more spacious that the last, maybe it's good planning. I like the fact that it's more of an evolution, but with brand new shiny things. If its anything like most offices, how long before the desk & walls start to look a bit grubby?

Still hate the office set up, however, its more spacious and feels and looks like a proper studio than a converted room. Out of interest, does anyone know what studio CBBC/Newsround are using at MediaCityUK?

IIRC when I was working there the other week and had a look through the studio feeds on the TV CBBC was in HQ5 and CBeebies was in HQ6.

Yep that's correct and Blue Peter is in HQ7, if I remember correctly.
