I thought this deserved its own topic as it's of specific interest to the presentation community.
CBBC start broadcasting from Salford Quays on Monday from the new studio which is a revamped and refreshed office with some new features. The big green desk remains, but the new studio is much bigger and has a window overlooking Manchester.
It's also farewell to London who will be presenting her last day on Sunday.
Newsround too have a new studio which is pretty much like the one they have for the BBC One main bulletin with video screens.
Newsround moves mid-October, and the arrangements with Red Bee will continue for playout. The screens in the set aren't barco screens, they're just LCD screens.
The Newsround studio is sharing with the CBBC office, half a studio each. The CBBC office is pretty much the same size as the current office, but because of the new layout it looks so much bigger, and because the cameras will be on the Newsround half of the set during output, they can pull back a lot further and make things look bigger.
The studio is in the studio block at Media City, and is fully HD equipped. I think it's all being squeezed down to SD before transmission though - the CBBC channel itself is SD anyway and for consistency the links for BBC One will be squashed down too.
