I agree Chesh, its only a new trailer!

Although, I won't be getting up at 5am to watch the new business programme, I am actually pretty interested in the sort of stuff that business programmes offer. Business Today and World Business Report feature in some of my viewing, but only because they are on a sensible times.

5am is obviously meant as a time for UK traders before the business begins, and a late roundup of the business news in the US. Chesh is right though, its not meant for us, its meant for the people who would maybe be watching, and at 5am its only going to be city traders getting ready for the day.

The only time I ever watch CNBC or Bloomberg is to find out about media stories - as they tend to discuss the media in great detail - which is interesting.
Or if I want to capture some presentation.
I'm all for capturing presentation, but it was someone saying 'i'll try it out', or something like that, that annoyed me!

I can't wait for the BBC News Interactive service to start. I expect we'll see an even bigger 'active' DOG than on Sky News Active. The same DOG as use on the sports coverage.
Sky News seem to have new trailers every month, although this current 'first' style of trailer hasn't changed for a while now.
It will be interesting to see whether Sky launches trailers for the new look.
Or whether it advertises on ITV, like it did in 1993.

Ok first i was suffering insombnia so thats that out of the way, secondly NickyS has been dropping some hints about changes to bbc news 24 and bbc world, the newest graphix use an orangy colour, and rumors suggest the straps may go from purple to an orangy feel.

I also made a suggestion of a new ident style, and thats when i was told to keep an eye out for the business program in september.

I am not expecting a big change, but i do believe some changes are coming, perhaps to co-incide with the new interactive news service.

NICKYS PLEASE TELL US MORE

Chesh, did you ever watch working lunch, money, sky news business report, world business report...

Some people take an interest in the latest business news.

My mum isnt a city trader, but she has stock ISAs, so she likes to see how things are doing.

Also, some people on this forum like the presentation of news programmes and channels, that alone is reason enough to watch a new programme.

Ok Ok so it probably isn't a massive turnaround after all then but like someone else there are a few changes in the pipeline.

When are the BBC Moving then? last I heard of this story was over a month ago.

I never watched Working Lunch, Money, Business Report or WBR on a regular basis, no.
I've no reason to.
I do own shares in Abbey National, but to be honest I don't think that I need to sit through an hour long business programme to find out what they're doing, I can use Sky News Active or something similar.
My point is that a 5am business programme is aimed at people who are to be up and about at 5am, not people who are going to make a special effort to get up and watch it.
I think you'll find that the only people who take a REAL interest in business news are those people involved in business.
The CPI numbers coming out of the US are not going to interest me; sorry.
I doubt very much that anyone IN THIS FORUM is going to be interested in the content of a business programme shown at 5am - specifically designed for businessmen and women; preparing for the day ahead.

Why on Earth would anyone in here want to watch the new business programme?!
It strikes me that you're only interested in it because it made by the BBC. Don't be silly. There is no point getting up at 5am just to see what it's like - when the content of the programme is going to be of no interest to you whatsoever!

Well Im taking Business Studies so I would watch it for that reason as Im sure there are other out there that will watch the programe for its originall purposes

Business Studies doesn't have much to do with the stock exchange... which is what this new programme will primarily be covering.

You tell that to my teacher!

She must have been talking about the stockmarket and companies shares as a sideline then!
