I have just seen a brandnew breaking the news animation, it works like the old one, but it now boasts a new slogan, and an amazing new look and new twist on the News 24 logo.

I am not sure, but i thinkit may of used the old music, or bbc world music, i will try capture a video next time i see it.

Its all red orange and dark red colours, i will posts pictures soon...

I do believe something will be happening in the near future... and something NickyS said...

'All i will say is look out for the new business programme from 5:00 to 6:00 am starting from september.'

Yep, like you said I think the BBC are definatly up to something. Digital Weather Services, Presenter Moves, Channel Renaming, Somethings Coming and we all know it.
New look breaking the news trailer is good, i'll keep an eye out for it on tv.

I'll set the tape overnight. I'm looking forward to BBC World and News 24 merging!!

When does this new programme launch? Will it be corporate or not?

Its funny the way its so dissorganized, i remeber when the BBC Bomb affected bbc news 24 so they were with BBC World, Chris Lowe said -

This is BBC News   . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .      (BBCWorld cuts to its own adverts)  . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .   now the weather

Umm, I'm not convinced. The trailer still uses the current sting but it certainly looks better than the previous 'breaking the news' ones (although going all the way with the 'B-B-B-Breaking the News' BBC World ones would be nicer Smile)

Cheers, Asa

Err... sorry to test the limits of possibility but they could just be using a new breaking news trailer...
It's hardly an indication that something new is to happen when they revamp a trailer!!

The new business programme has been known about for ages, and the BBC would certainly have announced anything if they were planning to revamp News 24.

Why on Earth would anyone in here want to watch the new business programme?!
It strikes me that you're only interested in it because it made by the BBC. None of you are city traders, it isn't going to be the least bit interesting because of the simple fact that it is not going to contain any news relevant to any of us. From what I know none of us have major holdings in companies - the economic downturn isn't going to lead us into talking to our financial advisors!
Don't be silly. There is no point getting up at 5am just to see what it's like - when the content of the programme is going to be of no interest to you whatsoever!

Presenters moving is hardly dramatic either.... Natasha Kaplinsky joined Sky last year but they didn't alter a thing! What makes you think a BBC regional news presenter coming to News 24 is to spark off a revolution at the channel?!
Digital Weather Services has probably been in planning for a while now, it's hardly something unheard of.
I very much doubt News 24 will see any massive changes until BBC News is totally revamped when they move to White City, and as we know, that isn't happening for a long time yet.

I actually agree with what you say cheshirec. I think that its only a new trailer, it may have somthing to do with the new interctive service, but no one knows yet. I'll tape the first Business programme just to see what the presentation is like, I won't watch it, although I do find business news interesting. It isn't just about stocks and shares, you get news about companies in it.
