Although the website mentions Matt's departure, there appears to be nothing as yet about his replacement.

Where have you seen/heard this "announcement"? On the programme?

It's been announced on the programme and was announced earlier by the BBC.

He used to be a runner for CBBC.

It's worth noting that Zoe has jumped from being the fifth presenter to second presenter in just 18 months!

Now, if only they could find a way of getting rid of Konnie - she must have hosted with three complete teams of different presenters now -
Gethin/Zoe/Andy, Matt/Simon/Liz and Katy/Richard/Stuart.

What about the likes of Valerie Singleton, Peter Purves and John Noakes who presented for even longer?

How long does she have to stay to become the longest serving presenter?

To be honest she does right, although presenters leave so they can do new challenges, in reality that usually mean a load of poor presenting jobs before disappearing for a few years and then reappearing either on reality tv or quiz tv!

I think ironically one of the most successful ex-Blue Peter presenters of recent years has been Richard Bacon - though he's now pretty much disappeared from TV (though I think he has a regular gig with XFM).

Richard is the afternoon presenter on Capital FM during the week - hardly any time for TV!

You know what's happened don't you? This guy was actually a taxi driver who went in to Television Centre, got mistaken for a junior in the morning and then became presenter later on the same day!

Don't think I've seen him on BBC News 24 yet though...
