Here is the only change i think should be doe to the idents. drop the purple BBC, other than that, and the addition of a 2W style sidebar in trailers bbc two's new look will be perfect
You see ... mdta's modifcation of Fish above has made it much better, that purple box really does make the ident dreadful.
BTW- I think Fish was used again for Ready Steady Cook at 4.30pm-wasn't it?

The new look is good. I do miss the old idents but what i miss most is the tune especially for car (the best ident), Optics, Neon & Silk (I know it was dropped Dec 1999 (31st) but it had the best tune).
As for keeping the 2 white, that might change after a year look at the original set from 1991 all idents were grey & turquoisey colour but in 1992 optics came out with a bit of red in it & a few years later dog, baloon & car came out & they were all diffrent colours.
What I'm wondering though is what will the Xmas ident look like. I think it should be blue as yellow is not a christmas colour, red or green would also work

Oh, how I miss twenty-plus variations, all different colours. Nowadays it's all so...yellow...and samey... No longer will I flick over to BBC2 just to see what ident they're using. I'm bored with these ones already.
Not good, I want my proper twos back. I don't like the box and the idents although comp gen are cheap. I'll probably love them in a few months but from over 20 variations to just four and mostly just two is DULL.
What a huge pile of dog's bollox! I don't think I've ever seen more horrid idents. What are you doing Beeb? What are you thinking? Do you really think these are an improvement on the previous idents?

We better be taping these folks; our grandchildren and their children's children will be sooo greatful!!
