I rather like that! Certainly the best of the current batch which IMO are bland in the extreme, especially when compared to the wonderful old 2's. I agree though that it's very English - so am not surprised that it looks like it'll be rarely seen in the Nations. Shame they didn't make a Scottish or Irish dancing version. Is there a particular style of Welsh dancing?

are these idents not nationally specific for you ...

its about time there was an english specific ident.

They're perfectly national-specific enough, I just wondered if they couldn't have made dancing 2's for each nation, as well as the Morris Dancing one.

Is there any particular reason why Fry is only used in Northern Ireland? After all it appears to feature a Full English Breakfast.

Wrong - it's an Ulster Fry, none of your crap fried pan loaf here. We have Soda bread, Potato Bread, pancake, tomato, sausage, eggs and bacon. Sometimes black pudding. There are no beans.

Incidentally, have the Big Read idents been retired?

No, I played one last week. But I haven't seen BBC ONE Haka for a while... Wink

I suppose they thought it was so good that they kept on using it. But they can get rid of domino and the one with the fish, absolute carp Exclamation Wink

Resting, or retired?! Very Happy

Drop Haka and bring back Tai Chi Rotate, that's what I say!

Why get rid of Haka? It was one of the better ones that. I do agree with returning Tai Chi Rotation - perhaps have that instead of Skateboarders, an incredibly repetitive ident.

Is this new BBC TWO ident staying permanently and is there a short version of it?
Marksi also mentioned something about The Big Read ident - is that still in use?
One other thing I have noticed is that Fire or any of the long ident versions aren't that common, how come?

Dunno if it is on Network, but as well as NI still using it, it's gone out a few times in Wales over the last few days to cover up that morris dancing thing.

Apparently, BBC One made a 'waltz' ident that was never used - anyone know why?

Also, I think that haka should only be used for sport anyway..
