Did anyone see the new one on the 7.30pm junction into SAS (and out of Freddie Mercury Rock Shrine)? It featured a blob talking with a BBC Two Big Read snake next to it which collapsed at the end - missed the dialogue tho - Anyone know what it was about?
Sounds interesting! I hope THREE use it again tonight. Not that there is anything worth tuneing in for tonight on BBC Three. Mondays were good at one time on THREE.
Well, when THREE first started, I counted 25 different idents (and listed them here), then there has been the 'Little Britian' one added and now this one takes it up to 27. The most a current BBC Channel has.
How many do BBC FOUR have? Is it true that BBC FOUR's are different everytime due to the idents reacting to the announcer's voice?
I hope know that they are introducing idents every know and again, that they do something for christmas, even if its just a couple. A nice one would be the blobs singing the 'Three is a magic number' with bells along with it.
So effectively there are 1000's of slightly different BBC FOUR idents, as everyone is different!?
Effectively yes, but they are based on about 13 odd generic designs (the colour washes, and type of audio reaction used) so they are based on the same principle, but just every time they are used the reactions used (the spikes for instance) will look slightly different etc

Yes, I caught this ident purely by chance last Thursday. The blob is speaking with a Scottish ident; he is talks about cutting off the noses of medium-sized worms with scissors (the book worm reacts to this by looking very alarmed) then quickly says that 'this is not really cruel as a worm doesn't feel pain'; the worm then faints. Has to be one of the best ones so far!

When BBC FOUR launched the controller was in a live chat on BBCi. I asked him how many variations there were, and he said 30.

Brilliant! Can't wait to see it - or can someone cap it and get it up here?
Wonder where the audio's from coz aren't they all from the BBC's archives rather than made for the ident?
