it's, eh, rather large and chunky.

I think if they're going to make it that big, it needs to be a bit more translucent - draws far too much attention to itseld by being the brightest thing on the screen.

Just posted this on DS.

It's ghastly! Why that big!
The letters "THREE" are to distracting and should be the same size as "BBC" like the older DOG.
Why has BBC3 done this, BBC4 has sense and hasnt changed.

Change it back BBC THREE!!!

I knew this would happen! I just posted a topic about it too! Embarassed Sorry!

Anyway, I think its just way too big. It's just not needed! It seems it's part of a presentation reshuffle, after the change in trailer style last week. All the same, I think they should change it back.

I like it, maybe it should be a little bit smaller, but look at News 24!

So it's not just for the news.

Awful DOG, too big for an entertainment channel.

A little smaller and it will be perfect, BBC Four should follow suit also, for any programs they actually DOG with the logo

It needs to be made smaller and slightly more transparent, but apart from that, I like it. As long as it's still taken off for selected programmes and films as before, I don't see the problem with it.

I think if the "THREE" was only 2/3 its current height then it would be better. It's just a bit too big.

Absolutely awful, and horribly distracting - I don't like any kind of DOG, but at least the plain text version was relatively discreet, if rather too bright. And it seems they only remove it from films these days, a far cry from 2003 when they used to take it off all drama, music, films and sitcoms; in contrast the BBC FOUR DOG has become increasingly rare in recent times. If this new DOG stays I think I'll be watching BBC THREE somewhat less from now on.

One suggestion I would make, is to have a system like E4 use for their DOG - where during widescreen programmes it is placed at the far left of the screen, outside of the safe-areas. Then it wouldn't be nearly as in-your-face as it may seem at the moment. E4's DOG is roughly the same size as this one, so something like that would work very well, IMO.

the main problem with the E4 system is the text they put under the bug.

For example if you're watching on 4:3 mode, you get the ends of the captions. i.e.Brand New becomes "ew" and Catch Up becomes "p" just on the edge of the screen - which is rather annoying.
