Does anyone have any new news about the new show thats supposed to be starting on BBC 2 in September? I saw an advert for it advertising auditions for the shows new 'house band' but it doesnt say what the name of the new show is. Does anyone any new information on this new show?

I know stuff. I'm sure Aston does too, probably much more than me, but I don't think the team would appreciate info being banded around forums - sorry!

Just wait and see, it sounds good Smile

You could just have PM-ed the guy, or was that just for personal grandeur? Rolling Eyes

A house band? Hmmm....that sounds familiar! (five years back now in fact that they recruited the last one)

Not really. I'm sure many more folks on this forum know far more about bigger shows than this. I must PM posters who start threads because Jonathan says so. Get over yourself.

Awhile back a certian female CBBC presenter was talking about a possible Saturday morning show that she'd present with Andrew Haydn-Smith. He's gone but is she still attached to the project?

Don't know much about it - I'm no longer in that vacinity Wink

Know they were recently on the lookout for a female presenter though...

It'll be interesting to see what they've come up with. Personally i think now CBBC is concentrating on primary school kids only i'd like to see their new saturday morning show under their new 12-16 teen brand which the BBC are apparently developing. After all most Saturday morning programmes in the past were targeted at this sort of age.

I would of liked to see Top of the Pops Reloaded developed into a live 3 hour show, however with Fearne Cotton now signed upto do Weekend Breakfast on Radio 1 i guess this won't be happening. But i think Sam and Mark would be two good presenters for Saturday morning, along with a female presenter.

Does CITV have any plans for a new Saturday morning show, or has that ship sailed?

(is Saturday cooks getting any viewers)

Saturday Cooks is actually getting less viewers than Saturday Kitchen on BBC1. Saturday Kitchen has been getting over 1 million viewers each week and Saturday Cooks gets around 600,000. The irony here is that ITV paid Anthony Worrall-Thompson a fortune to do the exact same BBC show on ITV and he's getting spanked.

Nah ITV can't be arsed to think up anything original these days. Although if the BBC make a successful saturday morning show i'm sure they'll try and nick it or rip it off.
