How do they choose the people to be in these idents anyway?

I don't know - but if they ever need a dashing dark-haired 20 year old, then I'm available (BE rates apply) Laughing

If any BBC big-wigs are reading this - I am available to be in any future ident or indeed, BBC news 24 'to the top of the hour' countdown sequence.

Ready for immediate mobilisation!

Place your bets on how much Lambie-Narin is charging the BBC for this load of sh*t!

£50,000 broken down into:

£10 each for the skateboarders

£100 for the cameraman

£49,850 for Martin Lambie-Narins bank account.

Obviously you've never had to hire a cameraman or a post production suite then. Not that it would cost any where near £50,000!

But at least the fee for the skateboarders is about accurate. Wink

Let's face it, nobody would care about the money if these set of idents were any good; it'd be worth the money to do them properly, considering the amount they're shown.

I agree. I don't want to play the old record again, but I think the balloons in 1997 were well worth £500,000.

The balloon itself, all the planning, co-ordination (flight clearances etc.) plus actually taking a film crew to every corner of the UK is gonna cost.

There just seems no imagination with these dancers - Apart from the fact the likes of Music Video, Bollywood etc. are all cringingly cheesy.

They record a load of footage and choose the best. The person who does all the photography/filming/recording used to go to my school and has done talks before. I feel privilaged to work in the same art department he used to!

That reminds me...
I shared the same art department at school as Stuart Goddard.

Oh, wow, a totally unexpected reaction from a TVF member.

You know I've never noticed anyone on here give a negative reaction about something before they've actually seen it. Oh no. Not at all, No, sir, quite definitely not.

No. They'd never pay a tenner for the stakeboarders. They probably got people that like skating for free.

That ups his fee to £49,950.

I think Lambie-Nairn have done a good job with the dancers from the brief they were given by L. Heggersey.

I agree - theres only one company who can make a sh*t concept broadcastable.

God knows what we'd have if Jim "ITV1 Celebs" Hytner would have produced if he'd been asked to do the dancers!!!

We might very well have had Dale Winton & Bradley Walsh in drag, on a London rooftop doing the macarena! Laughing

Make your mind up....you were slagging them off a couple of posts ago!
