On the topic of BBC ONE idents, is there a news ident on the way? It's said so on TV Home for a while now and there was a fairly long forum thread on it.

Having problems to download te pdf. Guess I'll have to wait for Friday!

So its coming on FRIDAY nite before Eastenders. Usual time. Does that mean it'll be used all nite as well?

I want to know whether BBC Autumn (TM) will make sure there aren't the wrong sort of leaves on the railway line.

Surely those grainy pictures aren't actually stills from the ident?

They look like they were taken with a digital camera. The backdrop is dull and boring, the sky is grey and miserable.

Epitomises the whole BBC One ident set really.

Place your bets on how much Lambie-Narin is charging the BBC for this load of sh*t!

£50,000 broken down into:

£10 each for the skateboarders

£100 for the cameraman

£49,850 for Martin Lambie-Narins bank account.

Oh, wow, a totally unexpected reaction from a TVF member.

You know I've never noticed anyone on here give a negative reaction about something before they've actually seen it. Oh no. Not at all, No, sir, quite definitely not.

Who knows if its Lambie-Nairn who produced this new one. It's often the fact that the BBC produce new ones internally, and LN only do the original batch.

How many more new BBC1 idents like this are we going to see in the near future? Maybe there could be a pole-dancing or lap-dancing ident used for late-night programming!!

No. They'd never pay a tenner for the stakeboarders. They probably got people that like skating for free.

That ups his fee to £49,950.

I think Lambie-Nairn have done a good job with the dancers from the brief they were given by L. Heggersey.

I agree - theres only one company who can make a sh*t concept broadcastable.

God knows what we'd have if Jim "ITV1 Celebs" Hytner would have produced if he'd been asked to do the dancers!!!

We might very well have had Dale Winton & Bradley Walsh in drag, on a London rooftop doing the macarena! Laughing

Nah, let's not forget that these are championship skateboarders we're talking about here...

... so that's £12.50 and a can of red bull each, yeah?
