New BBC ONE Ident in Jan 2006?

Will a new BBC ONE Ident start showing in early January 2006?

For the past 3 years a new ident has been introduced soon after the Christmas Idents stop. Or, will there not be a new ident because the BBC ONE idents could be replaced sometime this year?

Tango was introduced Thursday 2nd January 2003 at 7.30pm
Maasai was introduced Monday 5th January 2004 at 7.00pm
Tumbler was introduced Tuesday 4th January 2005 at 9.15am

Hi,
I still like the globes! If they make new idents, I hope they choose the globes. I really don't like the boxed channel logos either! I preffered the trailers that had a strip go across the bottom of the screen. I don't like the screen going red!

That is just me. I'm just eager, because I think a relaunch is over-due.

They won't tell you. If they do, the BBC will line them up facing the wall of Television Centre and shoot them.

Now look what you've started. There now follows an indeterminate period of questioning and speculation.

They probably don't know themselves. But I don't expect anything to happen until at least autumn.

That's not what I was told about six months ago, but I haven't heard anything recently.
